Kenner Hispanic Fest is presented by GALA Music and Celebración Hispana honoring the rich and diverse Hispanic legacy in Kenner and the surrounding region. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the 2020 fest will be held Saturday, March 28, 2020, starting at 3:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 29, 2020, starting at 2:00 p.m. The festival will be held on the green area of the Pontchartrain Center’s rear parking lot.
The event will include local and international performers, exciting activities for the whole family including Latin food, live music, dances, crafts and games for the kids. The fest is open to the public and lawn chairs are welcome. No outside food and drinks, coolers, backpacks, duffle bags, tents or thermoses are allowed at the fest. Only service animal pets required for medical reasons will be allowed in the park. An admission donation of $5 per adult will be collected to help defer the cost of the festival.
In the past, the fests have been very successful with the generous support of local businesses, corporations and volunteers. Fest organizers are offering a chance to help with the tradition and growth of this culturally rich event by encouraging joining in as an organization member and/or sponsor to showcase and share the Hispanic rich culture with all in the community.
